BACKGROUND: 

The National Domestic Workers Alliance (NDWA) is the leading national voice for dignity and fairness for domestic workers in the United States. Founded in 2007, NDWA works for the respect, recognition, and inclusion in labor protections of domestic and home care workers across the country. NDWA is winning improved working conditions while building a powerful movement rooted in the human rights, dignity and equality of domestic workers, home care workers, immigrant women, and Black women.

Care in Action, a nonprofit, nonpartisan group dedicated to fighting for dignity and fairness for the millions of domestic workers in the United States, most of whom are women of color and immigrant women. 

Position Summary:

Care in Action and the National Domestic Workers Alliance seek a State Director in Arizona to build a strong statewide program. The State Director will supervise the day-to-day operations of our integrated state-based strategy, direct advocacy, basebuilding, and civic engagement work, leading one of the most important projects in our organizations. They will manage the hiring and coordination of staff, oversee state budget, and coordinate with coordination tables and partners.

Working in close coordination with our state and national staff, the State Director will lead our strategic electoral organizing model, serve as chief architect of our state-based organizing work, and oversee early investment in the presidential election cycle.
